Medicine Man

Medicine man or 'Shaman' was their doctor and spiritual leader. The headdress is made to resemble Buffalo fur and horns tipped with Turkey feathers. Three white dots on each horn resembles large hail stones meaning power.

Around his neck is a deer skin medicinal pouch where he kept magic stones, seeds, roots etc.. to heal as well as comfort those in need of his help. Over 17" tall he is made of fired clay mounted on a pine base with a backing of rabbit fur.
